When a Pinterest video “does not download”, the file is usually fine and the link is the problem. These are the cases we see, in the order worth checking.
You copied a board
Board links look like a username and a board name. They have no /pin/ and no long number. PinSaver refuses them on purpose. Open one video on that board, tap Share, and copy that Pin’s link.
The short link is stale
pin.it links are convenient and occasionally broken, especially if a caption got selected along with the URL. Open the Pin in the app and copy a fresh link. The long pinterest.com/pin/… form is more reliable. Paste it without extra words before or after it.
The Pin is private or gone
If you have to be logged in to see the video, PinSaver cannot see it. The same is true of a Pin the creator deleted, or one that is limited to another region. There is no login on this site and no workaround. The honest message is that the Pin may be private, deleted or region-restricted.
The preview plays and the save does not
That is the browser, not the Pin. On iPhone, look in Safari’s Downloads icon rather than in Photos. On Android, check the notification shade and the Downloads folder. On a computer, press Ctrl+J or Cmd+J. The file is often already there.
There is no sound
Play the preview on the result card. If that is silent, the upload has no audio track. PinSaver does not strip sound. Confirm in the Pinterest app with the volume up.
Nothing in the list looks like a video
Some Pins are images that merely look like videos in the feed, and some pages fail to expose a file. Try the link once more. If the result still says no media was found, the public page does not include a file we can hand you. The FAQ has the longer version of these answers.
